The most important thing, as usual, is not to let the thoughts be a block to getting started. Children have been riding all kinds of models and sizes of boards for many years. If you want to get started, the most important thing is to get out on anything at all. But there are some good tips to make your choice easier.

What length of snowboard is good for children?
Probably the most common question we get, and the answer is like for older people, a fairly large range that works.

Between the chest and the eyes we usually say, but smaller children (1-3 years) can also ride a board that is as long as they are. A larger board will be more stable and thus easier to keep balance on. But smaller models make it easier to handle and easier to learn small tricks and jumps with. If you buy your first snowboard for a child who is between 2-9 years old, we would recommend that you start with a slightly longer model that the child will also grow into over time.

When the child is smaller, you get a longer and more stable board, and when the child grows, the board also becomes smaller in relation to the child and thus more playful when you want to develop, and maybe jump a little, etc.

A perhaps more important question, however, is how wide the board is.

If your board is too narrow, your toes or heels will easily catch on the snow when you turn. This is especially important for children, as their feet tend to stick out quickly as they grow.

Many models are well suited for this, but we also have models that are a little wider, so if you have special needs, we think you should contact us, and we will find the best possible equipment for you.

A rule of thumb, however, is that the boots can stick out about an inch on each side, as the shoes are often slightly bent up in the toe and heel, and at the same time, the binding also lifts the shoe a bit off the board, which means you get a bit off the snow.
