Karakoram is a brand founded in 2008 by twins Tyler and Bryce Kloster, with a vision to change the world of splitboarding. Combining their passion for snowboarding with technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, they have been dedicated to developing innovative equipment since high school. Through collaboration with snowboarding icon Jeremy Jones, Karakoram has refined their products, focusing on design and usability.

Unlike many companies that move production overseas, 94% of the parts in Karakoram's Prime bindings are made in the United States, and 91% in its home state of Washington.
