The Jones Flagship 26/27 is our bestselling freeride board and the one we recommend if you want to ride fast, big and everywhere. The directional shape with a spooned nose lets it float in powder, and camber underfoot together with High Traction Tech makes it run like a train even when the groomers are hard. Three grip points per steel edge take care of the icy mornings. The spoon bevel in the nose and tail is Jones’ strongest, up to 8 mm in the front, which reduces drag and makes the turn easier to roll into. In short, a board you do not need to swap halfway through the day when the powder has turned into a mogul run.

• Profile: Freeride CamRock, camber underfoot with a long rocker in the nose and a shorter one in the tail

• Edges: High Traction Tech, three grip points per edge with the middle one largest. Recycled German steel

• Base shape: Jones 3D Contour, high, 4 to 8 mm spoon bevel in the nose and 0 to 7 mm in the tail

• Core: Control Core, paulownia and poplar in a 2:1 ratio

• Reinforcement: Bcomp stringers of carbon and flax

• Laminate: triaxial fiberglass with bio epoxy

• Base: Sintered 8000. Fast and holds wax well, but needs waxing
