The new Ultralight Butterfly Split is an ultralight splitboard made for high alpine adventures where the balance between weight and performance is hypercritical.
By drastically reducing the nose and tail size, while maintaining the contact points, the Butterfly Split has an effective edge length that is 10 cm longer than comparable boards of the same length. The long effective edge is matched with a camber profile for maximum edge power in varying alpine conditions. For increased floatation, fast edge-to-edge response and unmatched torsional rigidity, the Butterfly Split features 15 mm of rearward taper, a 3D Contour Base 3.0, Inner/Outer Traction Tech 3.0, Boltless Bridge, Karakoram Tip Lock Tip Clips and Karakoram 3C Clips.
The Ultralight Butterfly Split is also built with our new Ultralight construction, including a new eco-topsheet and a wood core made with two layers of carbon fiber and multiple sections of Koroyd that absorb vibrations at a fraction of the weight of wood.
