Youth Prodigy

The Youth Prodigy is the board for kids who are learning to ride or are on their way to becoming confident. It is soft and forgiving, flex 4 out of 10, and easy to turn. Jones has built it with the same shape technology as the adult boards, and it comes in sizes from 100 to 145 cm. The base is extruded, which is durable and needs little maintenance. If you want a slightly more stable board with more pop, there is the Mountain Twin Junior.

How it feels

The flex is soft, so the board goes along with the rider and forgives mistakes. It is a twin, so it rides as well backwards as forwards and the child can try riding switch. Camber between the bindings gives grip, rocker in the nose and tail (CamRock) makes turns easier, and the spoon bevel in the base (3D Contour) reduces the risk of the edge catching.
