The Jones Mind Expander Splitboard is the result of a collaboration between Jeremy Jones and surfboard shaper Chris Christenson , created for riders who want to take the free movement of the surf into the snow. It features a directional shape with a wide nose and narrow tail for natural float in deep snow and quick response in tighter lines.
The Christenson Surf Camber/Rocker profile combines power and grip underfoot with a flexible rocker in the nose that makes the board easy to maneuver and fun in all types of terrain.
The Paulownia/Poplar core provides a lightweight and stable feel, reinforced with Biax fiberglass for a smooth and responsive flex. The Sintered 8000 base offers fast glide, while Bio Resin Epoxy , recycled steel edges and recycled ABS sidewalls make the construction durable over time.
The Karakoram Free Ranger bindings complement the board with direct response and high comfort. The CNC-machined aluminum chassis provides a stable feel, while the Reactive Highback and Power Sidewall offer support and precision.
Active Joining™ eliminates play and makes the board feel like a single unit when riding, and Dual Ride-Stride® combined with Dual-Speed Riser provides quick switching between walk and ride modes. A binding that delivers both performance and easy handling on long rides.
Jones Nomad Pro Trim-To-Fit climbing skins are included and provide secure grip on the way up, with 70% mohair and 30% synthetic nylon for efficiency, durability and good glide. The Pro version has a lighter construction with PLT technology , making them easy to pack and handle even in the cold.
A complete setup for those who want surf feel, playfulness and confident control throughout the mountain – light enough for long rides, and powerful enough to deliver on the way down.
