A trip to Sarek National Park is on every mountain enthusiast's wish list. This book describes around 40 top tours, with a focus on downhill skiing. Those who prefer to ski touring will get tips on some classic routes through the national park. A special chapter in the book is dedicated to the most magnificent and alpine tour in the country – the Great Sarek Traverse, this over 20 km long ridge hike stretches over many of the highest peaks in the area.
You don't have to be an experienced alpinist to go on a trip in Sarek. Most of the valleys are easy to navigate with touring skis and sledges. The three authors Joel Karlberg, Petter Lämås and Josef Larsson spent 90 days non-stop on location in Sarek to cover all the nuances of the winter season. This is their debut as authors.
