Flex that you adjust yourself

The Verse features Vans' Flex Control System , which means you have removable Hytrel reinforcements in the tongue. You can adjust the flex yourself between 6 and 9 depending on how much responsiveness you want for the day. A big bonus is that you can poke the reinforcements again after a season or two to give the boots new life when they start to soften.

Built to hold tight

We know that moisture is the biggest enemy when you're out and about all day. Verse features a Waterproof Zipper Shroud – a sturdy zippered shield that covers the laces and keeps snow and water out. It also has vents that ensure moisture from the inside is transported out, keeping your feet dry and warm.

Details that make a difference:

• Heel Grip: The liner (V3 UltraCush) features an updated X-cage that locks the heel firmly in place. This reduces heel lift and gives you better control in every turn.

• Grip on ice: The sole is inspired by enduro tires with an aggressive tread pattern and a rubber toe pick. Worth its weight when you need grip on an icy parking lot or when you're scrambling up a peak.

• Hybrid lacing: You get the feel and fit of traditional lacing, but with a BOA over the ankle that keeps the heel where it should be all day.

• Warmth for cold days: With 200g insulation around the toes and heat-reflective material, you'll stay warm even when it's really cold outside.

• Natural movement: Despite being stiff, it has asymmetrical flex zones that allow the knee to move naturally, giving a better feel when carving.
